The aging population and declining birth rate in Hong Kong will result in a heavy burden on elderly carers if they are lack of support. In order to raise awareness in our society about the welfare of elderly carers and strengthen their support, HKFWS launched the "Elderly Carers Support Project" in 2023, aimed to call on all parties in the industry to work together to build a carers-friendly community and to create a greater impact through collaborations.

To arouse the concern of different stakeholders for elderly carers, HKFWS will be holding the "Elderly Carers Forum 2024" on 19 December 2024. Experts from different sectors in the society will be invited to share their experiences and collectively brainstorm ideas on how to promote community support for elderly carers. Elderly carers and industry professionals are cordially invited to participate. Online registration for the event is open starting today and will be closed on 12 December 2024 (Thursday).
