Strengthen Financial Literacy Across All Age Groups with Enhanced Gamified Learning and Extended Programmes
Financial Education Centre is committed to promoting financial education to the general public, aiming to provide young people with the most effective and impactful exposure to financial knowledge. Over the past year, the Centre has made efforts to implement gamified learning, allowing students to deepen their learning and memory retention through enjoyable activities. This approach helps cultivate an early interest in financial literacy among young children. Recognising the need for financial education among the older generation, the Centre has worked diligently to develop financial education programmes specifically for seniors. These programmes covered a wide array of topics such as retirement planning, fraud prevention, and electronic finance, ensuring that financial education is accessible across different age groups. The goal is to empower individuals in society to independently manage their wealth and achieve financial wellbeing.
Empower Women to Unleash Their Potential with "Women Entrepreneurship Support Programme", Launching New Initiative to Support Women Caregivers
The Women and Family Enhancement Centre introduced the new "Women Entrepreneurship Support Programme" Women Career Development Project, aiming to empowering women with specialised skills to leverage their expertise and embark on entrepreneurial ventures. The project offered self-discovery workshops, fundamental business knowledge training, and valuable internship experience to enhance their employability and encourage them to embrace their strengths and aspirations. The centre also participated in the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme 2023 and launched the "Be the Powerful Partners for Elderly" initiative. Through this initiative, women were trained to become community champions supporting caregivers, establishing a network with care and respite while fostering stronger community engagement and social connections for caregivers and the elderly.
Inspire Workers to Reach New Horizons
As the pandemic subsided, society and the economy were gradually recovering, presenting employees from different sectors with a myriad of challenges in their daily lives. With mounting pressures, it became essential to address the wellbeing of individuals and families. The comprehensive Wellness Programme continued to provide counselling, training, and crisis intervention to support both public and commercial sectors, as well as educational institutions, enabling workers and their families to confront the challenges of work and life with resilience. This year, we worked hand in hand with corporates to tailor employee training programmes and workshops, empowering employees to advance themselves and cultivate healthy relationships, thus creating favorable conditions for their professional journeys. Bringing together individuals, families, organisations, and corporate volunteers, selfless contributions were fostered to address the needs of the community and foster a cycle of warmth and love.
