Foster Care Service
What else should foster parents pay attention to when taking care of foster children?
Apart from physical and basic care, foster parents also need to be aware that foster children may have had unpleasant experience and difficulties before. Switching from their original family/living home to a new foster family and adapting to different parents, they may have emotional and behavioural issues when they first arrived at the new home. Foster parents should be mentally prepared, and allow adequate time for both the child and themselves to adapt to the new family.
