Accounting Manager

Reporting to Head of Corporate Functions, the job-holder will oversee and manage the financial and accounting functions of the Society.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis, projection and planning, and prepare periodical reports for management and the Executive Committee.
  • Revamp of the accounting system to streamline processes and enhance the overall efficiency of financial operations.
  • Perform financial performance assessment of service units and / or projects.
  • Ensure compliance of internal and external requirement of relevant financial policies and procedures.
  • Formulate and review relevant policies, procedures and workflow from time to time.
  • Supervise the accounting team to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Handle annual audit for the Society and Social Welfare Department account inspection.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and corporate strategic exercise.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant plus a bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years solid experience in accounting of which 3 years in supervisory / managerial level.
  • Good accounting knowledge, strong financial and analytical skills
  • Experience in the welfare sector an advantage.
  • Strong PC literacy including financial / accounting applications.
