Being Recognised as a “Manpower Developer” by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) For Nine Consecutive Years
The Society has been recognised as a "Manpower Developer" by the ERB since 2016, affirming its outstanding achievement in staff development and training.
Conducting Diverse Training Initiatives For Staff
The Society leveraged its resources to support employee’s participation in both internal and external training initiatives. This year, a total of 91 internal training programmes, covering a wide range of theroies and skills of professional intervention, were organised for staff at different job levels. The training activities received positive feedback from our participants, with an overall average rating of 5.21 out of a 6-point scale. 96.12 percent of attendees remarked that these training programmes have fulfilled their expected goals, which reflected our staff’s satisfaction with the training quality. To assist with the development of services and address emergent challenges, the Society also launched a series of training, such as “2-day Workshop in Handling Family Case with a Systemic Perspective”, “Training for Elderly Services - Advance Care Planning”, “Training on Use of Community Engagement - Application in Child Protection/Children’s Rights” and “Training for Youth Service - Introduction to PEERS”.
Organising Staff Orientation Day
Regular staff orientation day was held to enhance new colleagues’ understanding of the Society’s history, mission, vision, policies and services, as well as foster their sense of belonging to the Society. Additionally, based on specific services, relevant induction courses will be organised for newly recruited social workers to cultivate their understanding of the “family-centric” perspective and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills in effective service delivery.
Providing Subsidies for Staff to Attend External Training Programmes
The Society provided subsidies for 362 staff to attend external training programmes, covering up to 240 specialised topics. A total of 712 days of study leave were granted for their educational pursuits.
